Learn how to set up loan document presets with this DossDocs MyPortal video guide. Streamline loan document generation with default lenders, brokers, and fees.
Hi, this is Aletha Nelson. Today, I’ll show you how to create presets in DossDocs MyPortal to manage your team and streamline your workflow.
To access your presets, team, and profile information, click the icon to the left of the Dashboard. A pop-up will appear with presets listed below Dashboard. Select “Presets” and choose “All” or navigate through each tab.
Let’s select “All.” You can create defaults for lenders, brokers, title companies, escrow, loan features, third-party fees, lender fees, broker fees, and servicing fees. These preset fields should be set under the Presets section.
Under Presets, you can create multiple entries. MyPortal supports about 100 fields to input as presets, which you can push into your workflows. Selecting “All” shows each tab with preset options to apply to deals. These presets are flexible—use them for repetitive data to pre-fill workflows efficiently.
To create broker presets, select “Brokers” on the left. Click “Create Broker,” then input the broker’s name, role, and licensing details if applicable (e.g., license type, number, address, email, title like “Lender’s Agent,” and phone number).
When creating a broker, enter their name, agency, role, licensing status, license type, number, address, email, title, and phone number, then click “Create Broker.” Repeat this for multiple brokers. Follow the same process for lenders.
Create a lender preset. For multiple lenders, input “C, Exhibit B.” For multi-lender loans, use “C, Exhibit B” as the lender name. For a single lender, add the lender’s name and representative details (address, email, phone, title, licensing if applicable). Presets pre-fill workflow information.
You can create multiple lender presets. For multi-lender deals, use “C, Exhibit B.” For single-lender deals, input the lender name, representative, address, email, phone, title, and licensing details. Follow the broker format for additional lenders.
Move to “Title.” For one or two title companies, create presets by inputting the company name, officer name (if applicable), phone, email, and preset title insurance coverage.
For multiple title companies, click “Create Title,” input their details, and save. Follow the same preset process.
Use the same process for escrow companies. Select “Create Escrow,” input the escrow name, company address, officer email, title or officer name, and phone number, then click “Create Escrow.”
Add multiple escrow companies using the same format. Under Presets, update lender, broker, title defaults (including endorsements), escrow details, and special closing instructions for repeated deals.
Set up loan feature presets, including closing contact (name, phone, email, state like California), interest accrual, servicer details (address, fax, phone), fire insurance vesting, and security instrument destination.
Add a default rate, arbitration agreement details, and specific provisions or addenda for notes, security instruments, or loan agreements under Presets.
Preset third-party fees, lender fees, broker fees, and servicing fees. Only set presets for fields that repeat across deals.
Once presets are created for lenders, brokers, title, escrow, loan features, and fees, click “Submit” to save them in MyPortal. That’s how you create presets. Thanks. Let us know if you have any questions.
